Biopesticide for extermination of bedbugs

Out team uses the biopesticide Aprehend®, which is composed of fungal spores that kill bedbugs as well as larvae. Fungal spores germinate within 20 hours after contact, then penetrate into the bed bugs and colonize its organs, resulting in death. The insects will die within 4-10 days after contact with a treated surface.

Complete extermination of the colony

When the bedbugs move onto a treated surface, they collect and transport the fungal spores of the biopesticide to their nest. The spores are easily transferred to the other bed bugs and larvae in the colony, and all of the bed bugs that come into contact with the spores also die within the next four to ten days.


Biopesticide with 3 months of residual effect

The spray residues of biopesticide remain effective for up to 3 months to kill larvae and adult bedbugs. So, unlike chemical insecticides, only a single spray on surfaces is necessary to eradicate a bed bug infestation.

Biopesticide safe for health

During our intervention, we ask residents to leave the house and to return 4 hours after spraying. This guarantees that all product droplets have settled onto the surfaces. Once applied, the spray residue sticks to these surfaces and does not return to being suspended in the air. There is therefore no risk of inhalation. In addition, fungal spores are not toxic to humans, because it is an insecticide specially designed to kill insects and cannot grow at the temperature of the human body.

A regular treatment (every 3 months) with a biopesticide offers hotels and motels an effective method to protect themselves from bedbugs.
